Felicity

I bought Felicity season 3 on DVD!!!
I'm gonna watch it with Ryan. FUN!
I'm excited! :)

Daughter Of The King

I'm having a hard time feeling truly like the daughter of the King. How does that feel? Does that mean you feel loved, secure and happy? And safe, and provided for? I feel safe, and provided for. God provides. But I'm having a hard time having a real realtionship with God. Or with Jesus. I feel like He's far away. And sometimes I think He doesn't want to come closer. But actually i think I'm too scared to let Him come closer. Cause I don't want Him to see the big mess that I sometimes feel I am.
In the Bible it says that we can boldly come before Him. But I dont think I can. But I want to.
What am I afraid off? That He will judge me? He will not. If I would be judged Jesus would have died for nothing. I'm saved. I'm not judged.
I just find it very difficult. It's a big struggle, and a learning process.
If you ask me, sometimes life could be a bit easier!

Update

There's not that much to tell.
I started my new job. It's nice. But a bit tiring because I still have a lot to learn.
Last sunday I worked at the Shelter Jordan. That was really cool. I still love that place!
Well, I'll write more later. I'm at work now.
I haven't got my new laptop yet. When I do, there will be more updates!

Another one

So, I'm done moving. As of today I no longer live at Rozengracht. It was a really nice place, but maybe I can move back in october. That would be ccol.

I got invited for another job interview! At Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky!!!
How cool is that?

Now I wonder which of the 2 jobs I should take, if I'm so lucky that they'll both want me. But maybe one of them wants me, or none of them want me.

Anyway, I can't believe I get all these interviews. It's not like I tried very hard.

Bored

Man, I'm dying of boredom! Bad day to not bring a book to work!

Orange

Orange really isn't my color, actually.

If the Dutch team looses on sunday I can turn the background back to a nicer color again! :)

Job interview

Guess what? Next week I'm having a job interview. I did not expect that. I sent an e-mail to a travel agency about a week ago. I also applied for a job at the same travel agency in december, and I thought I wrote a great letter, but they didn't invite me for an interview. Now I wrote a simple e-mail, and they did!
The travel agency is called World Ticket Center. They sell mainly airplane tickets but also holidays. I think I would enjoy working there because the work would be more varied than just talking on the phone all day, and the working hours would be more regular, and I would have every sunday off! I do enjoy a proper weekend!
The travel agency seems very professional. And it would be cool to sell other airlines as well, and not only KLM.
So, now I have to make sure I make a great impression and look all professional and enthousiastic and all.
It'll be next thurday. Pray for me!

Rollercoaster

Okay, I just don't understand myself. This morning I was just feeling like crap. And now I'm fine! I'm constantly on this emotional rollercoaster. It's tiring for me and I bet it's tiring for others too. You can never know whether I'm having a good or a bad day, or even a good or a bad hour. It changes that fast! Maybe I'm bipolar! Nah, just kidding.

Anyway. The Dutch team plays tonight!
Let's kick some Argentine ass!

(my apologies for the words 'crap' and 'ass', they are just more powerful! :)

Timothy by The Buoys

When I was young I used to listen to this song in the car with my parents. Not until like a year ago I really listened to the lyrics. Here they are:

Trapped in a mine that had caved in
And everyone knows the only ones left
Were Joe and me and Tim
When they broke through to pull us free
The only ones left to tell the tale
Were Joe and me

Timothy, Timothy, where on earth did you go?
Timothy, Timothy, God why don't I know?

Hungry as hell no food to eat
And Joe said that he would sell his soul
For just a piece of meat
Water enough to drink for two
And Joe said to me, "I'll have a swig
And then there's some for you."

Timothy, Timothy, Joe was looking at you
Timothy, Timothy, God what did we do?

I must have blacked out just around then
'Cause the very next thing that I could see
Was the light of the day again
My stomach was full as it could be
And nobody ever got around
To finding Timothy, Timothy...

Did they eat him?

They don't write lyrics like this anymore ! :)

Complaining....sorry

I'm afraid I'm turning into a complaining person. Because I really don't like my job and I wanna complain about it all the time. I don't like people who complain a lot. So, I guess other people will not like it when I complain a lot. But the people I get on the phone complain all the time too! And it drives me crazy. They're never happy. Or maybe I'm never happy.
There's just so much stuff in the airline business that doesn't make sense. Why does a one way ticket cost more than a return ticket? And why is it more expensive to fly from Amsterdam to New York than from New York to Amsterdam? At this moment, I'm actually kind of tired of airline stuff.
I'm working late shifts again this week. They ruin my eating habits. I can't cook here and the cafeteria is only open around luchtime. So I snack a lot. Not good.
And it means I don't have any evenings off.
And I don't like wearing headsets and talking all the time. Bleeeh!
Anyway, I'm reconsidering applying for a job at Bagels and Beans. Sure, it has nothing to do with my touristic education, although tourists go to Bagels and Beans too!
I enjoy preparing food and talking to people face-to-face, and the working hours are good.
We'll see. It's probably just one of my many impulsive ideas.
I also wanna go on vacation. Maybe somewhere sunny. Like Greece or Turkey, mmmm!

I hope Holland wins!

Or Germany.

Job dilemma

I've been thinking a lot lately about what to do about my job. I've been thinking about applying for other jobs, but actually there is no other job that I would really want right now. With every job there's a down side. And I guess I'm trying to find a job with as little downsides as possible.
So, I'm gonna write down my motivation for maybe switching to another department within the company I currently work for. And then I'll let you judge wether it sounds like a good idea or not. Hopefully writing it all down helps me to make up my mind.
Here's the thing:
I work at this KLM reservation department. All day long I answer phone calls of people who want to make a reservation, or inform about prices and availability. And that's not too bad. What bothers me about this job is that it is sooo busy and the working hours. So there is this other department that sells Transavia tickets. And their department is not so busy and they're only open between 08.00 and 20.00 and on saturdays from 09.00 to 18.00. And on sundays they're closed. My department is open every day, even holidays, from 07.00 till 23.30. So late shifts are no fun at all. And I love being off on sunday. I wanna got to church. And I wanna have evenings off and hang out with people or go do some sports (at least that's my plan, it never actually works), or read or something. And now I have to work every other saturday, and on the other department it would be 1 out of 3 saturdays. Which is better. And I could work parttime. I would like to work 4 days a week. And then maybe I could do like volunteer work 1 day a week. That would be cool.
And I don't really wanna look for a job at another company. 'Cause I like the company. It's international and the atmosphere is good, and I like the cafeteria, they have a salad bar:)
And in almost all jobs in tourism you would have to work sundays, and I don't want to.
I guess I kind of made up my mind and I will go apply for Transavia.
Good idea?
