Too busy, not busy enough

Alright, lately I have had a lot more free time. I don't know exactly how, but I think I stopped myself of wanting to be busy all the time.
Only thing is, I've been a bit bored.
An when I get bored I start eating, and then I gain weight. Not good!
I guess I have to start being busy again, cause I don't wanna gain weight. No!
Maybe I'm making a big deal out of this, but that's how I feel.
:(

So, next step:
What can I do to be more busy? :)

By the way, I already quit the bad new habit.

Uh-oh, bad new habit...

I used to smoke like 2 or 3 times a year.
Then it became 2 or 3 times a month.
Now it's becoming 2 or 3 times a week.
Today I smoked at work for the first time.
Not good.

Smart?

I'm such an idiot.
I think I'm so smart because I'm reading this book about science and geology and evolution and stuff.
But then I had to laugh when I read the word 'strontium' (which, by the way, is an element) because it reminded me of the dutch word 'stront'.

haha!

The book is called 'A Short History of Nearly Everything' by Bill Bryson. It's really good. Read it!!!

Here's a funny part. It's about a reverend called Buckland who studied fossils, trying to figure out what family a certain fossil belonged to:

"Once Mrs Buckland found herself being shaken awake in the middle of the night, her husband crying in excitement: 'My dear, I believe that Cheirotheruim's footsteps are undoubtedly testudinal'. Together they hurried to the kitchen in their nightclothes. Mrs Buckland made a flour paste , which she spread across the table, while the Reverend Buckland fetched the family tortoise. Plunking it onto the paste, they goaded it forward and discovered to their delight that its footprints did indeed match those of the fossil Buckland had been studying.
Charles Darwin thought Buckland a baffoon-that was the word he used-.....etc"

The whole book goes on like this. Very entertaining, and it still makes you feel smart :)

For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her by Simon & Garfunkel, SO PRETTY!

What I dream I had:
Pressed in organdy;
Clothed in crinoline of smoky burgundy;
Softer than the rain.
I wandered empty streets
Down past the shop displays.
I heard cathedral bells
Tripping down the alley ways,
As I walked on.
And when you ran to me
Your cheeks flushed with the night.
We walked on frosted fields of juniper and lamplight,
I held your hand.
And when I awoke and felt you warm and near,
I kissed your honey hair with my grateful tears.
Oh I love you, girl.
Oh, I love you.

About 2006

I just read Magda's Blog. I didn't say 2006 wasn't exciting, it was just difficult.
It was exciting and challenging in a lot of ways!
I moved 4 times, I started a new job twice, I was on a TV show, I went to Krakow and Hannover, I spent the summer lying around in Westerpark, I joined a smallgroup, I started a sort of Bible course, I almost had a burn-out, I took some counseling, I learnt A LOT this year!
I feel like I've changed and grown. In a good way.
I think I feel like an adult now. This was the first year I had to take care of everything on my own! And it's not easy. But it's good.
So, it was exciting enough. :)
