I'm going on a ski trip in 5 days!!!
I've never been skiing (spelling?) before.
I expect it to look kinda like in this movie, haha!
Bummer it's in Spanish, but it's the only one I could find.
Makes me smile.

Excuse me for my rant of frustration, but:
PUBLIC TRANSPORT SUCKS!
GVB DOES NOT DESERVE MY STRIPPEN!!!
Yesterday I wanted to take a tram to Central Station and it just didn't show up. So I walked to Museumplein to take another tram. When it finally showed up, the doors didn't open. So we all wanted to get in in the front. The the driver starts yelling 'you can just get in at the back!" and were like 'What the...! How are we supposed to when the doors are closed?!' I didn't stamp my strippenkaart. I thought 'I'm not paying for this!'
Then later that day I wanted to take another tram and it just closed the doors when half of the people didn't even get in yet, and it drove away! And it was not because it was full, there was still LOTS of space. I was like 'What's the matter with these people today?'
Today I got up really early to go to church and I wanted to take a tram at 08.05. So I was there at 08.00.
08.05 no tram
08.10 no tram....
08.15 TRAM!
I was frustrated cause I got up early already and I was waiting in the cold for 15 minutes. No fun!
Anyway, this is why I always bike. Except now my bike is broken...
I guess I'll just walk lots of places the coming week.
By the way, when I got to church it turned out that I didn't have to bet there early after all, so I went back home, even more frustrated. Now I'm still deciding whether I'll just go back to bed, or go back to church for the 2nd service...

Today it was SUNNY! It was wonderful!
The air smelled like spring.
In my lunchbreak I took a walk.
I walked past a flower shop and I just stood there or a couple of minutes enjoying the scent of the flowers.
It smelled like a park.
Mmmmmm...
Spring come soon!

Alright, lately I have had a lot more free time. I don't know exactly how, but I think I stopped myself of wanting to be busy all the time.
Only thing is, I've been a bit bored.
An when I get bored I start eating, and then I gain weight. Not good!
I guess I have to start being busy again, cause I don't wanna gain weight. No!
Maybe I'm making a big deal out of this, but that's how I feel.
:(
So, next step:
What can I do to be more busy? :)
By the way, I already quit the bad new habit.

I used to smoke like 2 or 3 times a year.
Then it became 2 or 3 times a month.
Now it's becoming 2 or 3 times a week.
Today I smoked at work for the first time.
Not good.
Must.Stop.Now.

I'm such an idiot.
I think I'm so smart because I'm reading this book about science and geology and evolution and stuff.
But then I had to laugh when I read the word 'strontium' (which, by the way, is an element) because it reminded me of the dutch word 'stront'.
haha!
The book is called 'A Short History of Nearly Everything' by Bill Bryson. It's really good. Read it!!!
Here's a funny part. It's about a reverend called Buckland who studied fossils, trying to figure out what family a certain fossil belonged to:
"Once Mrs Buckland found herself being shaken awake in the middle of the night, her husband crying in excitement: 'My dear, I believe that Cheirotheruim's footsteps are undoubtedly testudinal'. Together they hurried to the kitchen in their nightclothes. Mrs Buckland made a flour paste , which she spread across the table, while the Reverend Buckland fetched the family tortoise. Plunking it onto the paste, they goaded it forward and discovered to their delight that its footprints did indeed match those of the fossil Buckland had been studying.
Charles Darwin thought Buckland a baffoon-that was the word he used-.....etc"
The whole book goes on like this. Very entertaining, and it still makes you feel smart :)

What I dream I had:
Pressed in organdy;
Clothed in crinoline of smoky burgundy;
Softer than the rain.
I wandered empty streets
Down past the shop displays.
I heard cathedral bells
Tripping down the alley ways,
As I walked on.
And when you ran to me
Your cheeks flushed with the night.
We walked on frosted fields of juniper and lamplight,
I held your hand.
And when I awoke and felt you warm and near,
I kissed your honey hair with my grateful tears.
Oh I love you, girl.
Oh, I love you.

I just read Magda's Blog. I didn't say 2006 wasn't exciting, it was just difficult.
It was exciting and challenging in a lot of ways!
I moved 4 times, I started a new job twice, I was on a TV show, I went to Krakow and Hannover, I spent the summer lying around in Westerpark, I joined a smallgroup, I started a sort of Bible course, I almost had a burn-out, I took some counseling, I learnt A LOT this year!
I feel like I've changed and grown. In a good way.
I think I feel like an adult now. This was the first year I had to take care of everything on my own! And it's not easy. But it's good.
So, it was exciting enough. :)

Ha! Sometimes I feel so cool! Like I can handle anything, and am the toughest girl on the planet.
Last week I went to Ikea to buy furniture, on my own. And I managed to get all the heavy stuff in the shopping cart, so I felt really strong.
Then at home I was putting my furniture together, using hammers and nails and stuff, and that also made me feel really tough!
It's a good feeling.
But I don't wanna be too independent. That's not good.
Sometimes I like the feeling of needing others, and sometimes I like the feeling of not needing anyone.
Weird.

I didn't actually get to play.
I answered the questions correctly but I wasn't fast enough.
But it was a lot of fun anyway!
Elke, Christina and Tabitha came with me.
It was fun to see how they make a tv show like this.
And I got to see Robert ten Brink up close!!! :)
